Great Room creation - Issaquah

Project started as adding beams to support and existing roof to take bearing walls out to create more open spaces in the existing house. Mid project decided to actually remove a portion of roof to vault the Great Room area!

These bearing walls of exposed studs will get glu-lams over them. Then removed.

To get more interior volume we decide to remove the roof and ceiling and bring in new scissor trusses to have an interior vault.

The original roof was low slope as shown. At some point when they reroofed they built a second roof over the first to get more slope. Crazy.
